Notice of Temporary Closure

Dear Patients:

Our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff, and community. To that end, we have decided to close our practice for the next three weeks, starting on March 18, 2020, in accordance with guidance provided by the American Dental Association. We believe that this closure will allow us to more effectively adhere to the government’s recommendations and the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidance of social distancing.
As health care professionals, we believe we have a role to play in “flattening the curve” in order to follow sound, scientific public health advice to help limit infections and slow the spread of the virus. Our office will be closely reviewing our appointment schedule. If you have a non-urgent appointment scheduled with us, we will be in touch to help reschedule your appointment.

We will be on-call in the event of a true dental emergency and for follow up of post operative care. Should you require emergency or follow up dental care, please call our office as you normally would at 631-287-3600 for instructions on contacting us for an emergency.  Dr. Davis may be reached on his cell phone at 631-466-4188.

We did not make this decision lightly. A great deal of care, research, and planning guided our decision. We believe that by taking these extraordinary precautions, we can make a difference in helping to preserve the limited supply of personal protective equipment critical for emergency dental care and front- line health care personnel responding to the pandemic. We will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and determine when it is appropriate for us to return to our normal business hours.

Again, please understand that we are making this decision with the health and well-being of our patients, our families, our dental team, and the community in mind.

Please stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,
Dr. Gregory Davis, DMD

Important Information Regarding COVID-19

In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we will keep you updated regularly.

Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.

We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
